Made up of members of Leeds bands Mishkin, I Swim With Sharks, Beyond All Reason and Pteroglyph, they have now come together to meld into the newly formed alt rock/noise outfit Black Surf.
In fact, despite all members having known each other since children, in this band formation they have not only still to play live, but play together, physically, at all. "We’ve basically made this EP while I've been living in Sydney, Australia, and the rest of the band in the UK," vocalist Ali Epstone tells us.
Their self-titled debut EP (which was self-released on November 3) was recorded in 2014 at Greenmount Studios, Leeds (The Cribs, Pulled Apart By Horses) with Australian producer Jaco Naude in Sydney.
With Epstone now having returned to England, the band are set on creating "simple, shameless alternative rock that makes people want to kiss and punch each other at the same time."
