New York-based Salt Cathedral have just unveiled the visuals for 'Salt', taken from their latest EP 'Oom Velt'.
The video was inspired by the lyrics "I am a holy soul in a foreign land," says co-director Bradley Tangonan: "The main character feels like an outsider, both at home and at the country club where he works. In the time he spends at his job, he imagines he belongs in this strange place as a way to escape."
Salt Cathedral, native Colombians Nicolas Losada on guitar, and Juliana Ronderos on vocals (who used to be called Il Abanico) formed in 2011 and utilised others to form a five-piece with Florida’s Silvio Vega on guitar, Canadian Stefan Bildy on drums, and New Jersey bassist Tommy Hartman. Their music fuses elements of math
rock with pop melodies.
