After first coming across Jackson Phillips late last autumn with his debut offering 'Nothing At All' (see here), the man more commonly referred to as Day Wave returns with another track from his EP (planned for later this year).
Formerly one half of synthpop duo Carousel, Oakland, California-based Phillips once again on 'Total Zombie' employs his knack of juxtaposing dreamy electronic lines with a lo-fi, sun-streaked pop arrangement of sweet and infectious hooks and self-deprecating lyrics, wrapped up in a shiny ambient palette.
