New Motion, despite being fairly new onto the scene, are set to release their second EP ‘Kiss’ on July 17 via Tidal Recordings. Having supplied us with our first taste, if it is anything to go by the EP will be brimming with indie pop perfection.
The song, which is the title track, like those of their previous ‘Anyway’ EP, is an up-tempo, anthemic piece of brilliance. With clever lyrics, catchy pop hooks, uplifting guitar parts and distant, yet thunderous, drums - New Motion appear to have found a winning recipe - and it tastes nice.
The band will be hitting the road this summer to play to their rapidly growing army of fans - including a date at London's Koko on June 10 supporting Coasts -and if they continue to release songs with the quality of ‘Kiss’, New Motion’s rise is looking set to continue.
