The new single from Brighton-based four-piece Thoughts, 'I Drew Blood' sees the band turning down the energetic pop side of their sound that was heard on first tracks ‘Tuck’ and ‘Animal’, for a more subdued offering.
Released this week, the track opens on a melodic acoustic note, that builds over three-minutes-plus with Joe Thorpe's engaging vocal rising over tranquil guitar before it ups the pace for the last third, dropping back again on its close.
Thoughts are: Joseph Thorpe - vocals/ rhythm guitar, Mikey Ferbrache - lead guitar/backing vocals, Edward Norton - bass, Jack Lowe - drums.
