August 21 2015 - Hot Top Ten

DEAD LEAF ECHO - LEMONHEART
More trippy swooning lushness in this new single from the Brooklyn-based shoegaze/post-punk outfit, released September 15 via Moon Sounds.

JACK COLWELL - DON'T CRY THOSE TEARS
Dramatically big-sounding vocal performance, with a 60s edge, from the Australian artist, taken from his forthcoming EP 'Only When Flooded Could I Let Go', out on August 28.

DAMN BEATS - LITTLE WHITE HILL
Portsmouth indie-blues trio with drumming co-vocalist Hannah Wheatley, air their second single of catchy pop beats which is out this week. We hope the title doesn't refer to any illegal white powders!

LIU BEI - MIND OVER MATTER
New bittersweet synths 'n' strings double A-side single (w/'Philip Seymour Hoffman’) from the London duo - Richard Walters and Patrick James Pearson - out September 25 via new London imprint Famous Friends.

MANY THINGS - 77
One side (w/'Gone') of the third single - out August 28 - from the debut album 'Burn Together' out a week later. '77' derives from frontman Michael Armstrong's interest in numerology, not an ice-cream. Catch them tomorrow (August 22) at the London Fields Brewery all day event (with others).

SURGE - LOVEBLOOD
Early Blur-sounding Essex/Suffolk boys with follow-up single - out September 14 - to debut 'Tears Of Joy'. Catch them on August 29 at the Colchester Free Festival.

LAST DINOSAURS - APOLLO
Latest from the Brisbane quartet, shiny synths in a bouncy beat, taken from their new album 'Wellness', out August 28 via Dew Process/Universal Music.

TALI SING - BREATHE IN
Melbourne songwriter and producer follows his first uploaded track 'Confidence' earlier this year with another new offering from his 'Motions Of Heartache' EP, set for release in November. Soul-infused electro beats.

DEXTERS - STAY STRANGE
First single release (September 18) from London's rock 'n' roll rascals' second album 'We Paid For Blood', out September 25 via Acid Jazz Records.
