Words: Ellie Ward
Something of a busy figure these days is Dan Carey. When not presiding over his own Sexwitch project with TOY and Natasha Khan, or producing other artists such as Hot Chip and Kylie Minogue, he is also head honcho at the Speedy Wunderground label.
And the latest musos he is in charge of are no less than a collaborative effort album between Warpaint' guitarist Theresa Wayman, Guro Gikling, bass player with All We Are, and drummer Sarah Jones, who gas worked with Hot Chip and Yeasayer - collectively to be known as BOSS.
The first release from the newly formed trio will be the Carey produced single 'I'm Down With That', b/w 'Mr Dan's I'm Dub With That', released on November 27 via Speedy Wunderground.
'I’m Down With That” is a buzzy four-minute Caribbean flavoured piece constructed around fuzzy synths and Wayman’s hazy vocals.
