Words: Linn Branson
Newcastle three-piece Tessera Skies have a way with sound, and their ability to craft such delicate and awe-inspiring pieces of music always leaves one in puzzlement over why they are not better known?
Following 'Out Of Sight', they are now about to release 'Such Great Heights (Raindrops)' on October 16 via North Base Records and in conjunction with Amazing Label Services. Produced once again by the band and Mick Ross, the song builds across pulsating synths, big sprawling guitar lines, and Mark Broughton's vocals (that bring a little shiver down the spine) to create an atmospheric soundscape that is simply beautiful.
Tessera Skies can be seen on October 14, along with Little Comets and many other North East artists at Newcastle's O2 Academy.
