After a change of name (from Jim Lockey And The Solemn Sun) and a change of style (from folk-punk), Cheltenham quartet Solemn Sun kicked off their new-sound debut with 'Josef' a couple of years ago, and seem to have steadily been building up from that.
New single 'Bloom' may well be their best offering so far. Darkly sombre with its brooding melodies and Lockey's vocals vying for dominance against looped drums.
