Words: Izzy B

The Last Shadow Puppets took off on their UK tour last night (March 24) in Cambridge where the 19-song set included numbers from both their 'The Age Of The Understatement’ debut album and the upcoming ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’.

This is the first UK tour for Alex Turner and Miles Kane in almost eight years.

The duo - joined by bassist Zach Dawes and keyboardist Tyler Parkford of Mini
Mansions, and drummer Loren Humphrey of New York's Guards - playing to a capacity 1,400-strong crowd at the Corn Exchange, included a cover of The Beatles’ ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ in the set alongside 'Bad Habits', 'Calm Like You', 'Aviation', 'Only The Truth', 'Everything You've Come to Expect' and ‘Standing Next To Me’.
