Listen :: Oasis - Don’t Go Away (Mustique Demo)

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1997 album 'Be Here Now',
Oasis are putting out a deluxe reissue of the record on October 7. Along with a remastered version of the original LP, there will also be a number of previously unreleased tracks and B-sides, including a new remix of 'D’You Know What I Mean?' and an acoustic demo of fourth single 'Don’t Go Away' recorded on the Caribbean island of Mustique, which has been released today via Big Brother Records. Hear the latter below, and scroll further down for the original finished mix.

This is the first time any of Oasis's legendary Mustique Demos have ever been publically available. Noel Gallagher recorded the demo on acoustic guitar with producer Owen Morris in early 1996, along with a further 13 songs which will also be included on the reissue.

The original tapes were mislaid shortly after the completion of recording, and subsequently achieved mythical status among the band's huge fanbase. The tapes remained effectively lost until recently unearthed in the depths of the label's archive.
