Palace gear up to drop their debut full-length record 'So Long Forever' on November 4 via Fiction Records, with a new cut from the album, 'Holy Smoke'.
Fulfilling the staple Palace components of poignant lyrics and heartfelt vocal delivery, the pensive track makes for a welcome tasted of what else we can expect from the record.
Vocalist Leo Wyndham describes how the track came about:
"Someone once told me that when someone dies you have to open the window to let their soul escape. The Holy Smoke. This song is about being in that situation which I was, not that long ago. It's about losing someone close to you, and experiencing something quite spiritual in the moments after death - when by their side."
