Hull post-punks LUMER unveil new single ‘Gruel’, out on June 2 via Warren Records. The follow-up to 'Futile', the ferocious, raw assault of near four minutes is riven with with sharp-edged riffs, distorted atmospherics and pummeling drums that rattle the senses.
Vocalist Alex Evans describes the track as about "jealousy, anger, and failed attempts at escaping false thoughts", and that "practising in a dark, damp warehouse building in Hull has shaped the dark nature of the song.”
