We last heard from Glasgow alt-rockers Acrylic at the start of the year with 'Coast'. Now they prepare to unleash 'Where I Lie' this week (September 15).

Part of a split AA-side 7" (with Edinburgh's Mt. Doubt) released through Scottish Fiction Records, this atmospheric alt-rock track sees the band share the first taste from an upcoming EP.

Says Acrylic's Andreas Christodoulidis: "A current of anxiety runs through the song, and the same goes for much of the EP. 'Where I Lie' explores fragile connections, the see-saw between feelings of uncertainty in relationships, and moments of clarity and assurance."

From its ominous, building opening, the dark undercurrent is kept in focus while around it an atmospheric textures of layered guitars and melancholic sonics.
