Lead track from Sydney-based garage rockstress Joannah Jackson's - known under her stage moniker of Sloan Peterson - debut EP 'Midnight Love' released on September 22 through Mirror Records.
Echoey vocals and twangy guitars, described as Australia's Lana Del Rey with a 50s guitar pop meets 00s garage rock sound, drawing influence from The Velvet Underground and Nancy Sinatra - and a seeming wealth of lo-fi listenable songs.
After her debut single '105' brought her to attention, its follow-up 'Rats' impressed BBC Radio One's Annie Mac back in July, and not surprising why, with its looping riffs, reverb and retro in equal measure, and smooth, sultry vocals.
