Watch :: John Lewis unveils Elbow Christmas ad

Words: Alison Mack

Moz the Monster makes his debut in the newly unveiled John Lewis Christmas advert for 2017.

To a soundtrack of Elbow covering The Beatles' ‘Golden Slumbers’, the two-minute ad - directed by Oscar-winning director of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Michel Gondry - tells the story of Moz the Monster, who becomes friends with seven-year-old Joe (played by twins, Ethan and Tobias, from London, in their first on-screen role) after the little boy discovers Moz living under his bed, and embark on playing games together before the advert builds to its emotional ending.

The advert made its debut online at 8AM this morning (November 10), and will make its first appearance on TV tonight from 9.30PM on Channel 4 and Sky.
