Brissy's New Age Notion return with a total summery Oz 'WIPEOUT'
Words: Leah Raymond
Ah, man, what better way to start the week than with a freshly unwrapped Oz tune.
Released last week (October 25), this from New Age Notion (the name is a misnomer: there is nothing floaty, music for contemplating your navel with here), 'WIPEOUT', is a real joy as it bounces along with such a contagious vibe to its sound that you really are inspired to join in on its "wipeout" chorus line and throw in a few hand jives.
We last heard of the Brisbane-based trio - Ryan McErlean (lead vocals/guitar), Riley Smith (lead guitar/vocals), Cameron Smith (drums) - back in 2016 with their debut EP, 'Whatever Happened To Forever'. After nailing a perfect summery (Oz summer) indie pop feel here on their return, let's hope they don't leave such a gap til their next.
