'Burning Candles' is one side of the rather good AA-side single (w/ 'Flashing Blue Lights'), out now on new Manchester label 42’s Records, by Mancunian quartet Narcissus.
The track hits full on from the off, supplementing big, anthemic instrumentation, spacey zooming synths and forceful guitars, with a less strident, somewhat washed out vocal.
If you like things on a more melodic synth-rock side, you'll love this.
Narcissus play Gullivers, Manchester on June 30 w/ The Silver Lines, followed by the Blackthorn Music Festival on July 21.
