Slyrydes deliver a savage thrust on 'Out Patience'

Words: Ellie Ward

The Galway punk rockers Slyrydes shred the aural cavities on their just released savage beast of a new single, 'Out Patience'.

The urgent, blistering sub-four minutes
comes as the third release after their
Daniel Doherty (Fontaines D.C.)-recorded 'Mental Health' at the end of last year, and ‘Point of View' in May.

Recorded once again with Doherty at Darklands studio in Dublin, 'Out Patience' is not for the faint-hearted: it grabs you firmly by the scruff of the neck from the start, and twists and turns its vice-like grip through a wall of distortion and gritty robustness, firmly entrenched by Marc O'Reachtaire's demonic vocal.

You can catch Slyrydes live at The Workman's Club in Dublin (w/ Bullet Girl, Carlo Magliocco) on September 15.
