South London outfit Margot dropped new single 'In Your Palm' last Friday, along with an animated video directed by Jenny Wright.
The track is taken from their debut EP, 'Margotzeko', which follows on February 7 2020.
The dreamy, mellow track sees the band’s usual fusion of hazy neo-psych, dream-pop, replaced with a late-night smoky romanticism.
However, as with all Margot’s songs, there’s a much deeper social-political undercurrent. 'In Your Palm' is also a reflection on disillusioned teachers, as frontman Alex Hannaway expands:
“It’s about a teacher feeling that their job to teach is becoming untenable due to the outsourcing of schools to corporations driven solely by profit.”
Margot have announced a date at London's Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney for their EP Launch on February 7 2020.
