Track Of The Day :: Fightmilk tell it like it is with ‘I’m Starting To Think You Don’t Even Want To Go To Space’

Words: Sam Geary

Fightmilk return with a new single, digitally released on March 20 via independent record label Reckless Yes. ‘I’m Starting To Think You Don’t Even Want To Go To Space’, precedes the London quartet's second album, due later in 2020, the follow up to 2018's debut ‘Not With That Attitude’.

The sub-four minute number showcases their power-pop instincts, with fiercely stamped anthemic punk rippled melodies and ascerbic lyrics; becoming a real earworm from the midway point.

“I was inspired to write this song by watching someone who keeps loudly proclaiming they're going to save humanity and change the world constantly make excuses for why they haven't got round to it," explains vocalist Lily Rae. "It's largely about emotional labour and rockets and I'm dead proud of it.”
