After a double helping last year, firstly with summer debut single 'The Innocents', and then October's follow up '40 Odd Years', Irish four-stars The Wha return with an ear-catching new single 'Blue For You'.
Produced by Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths, The Maccabees), 'Blue For You' - out now on Chess Club Records - sees the 19-year-olds exert their distinctive style, contrasting jangly, jaunty guitars against darker, emotive lyrics and vocals.
"I suppose 'Blue For You' is a bit of a shameless pop song," says co-vocalist and guitarist Finn Cusack. "It has a feel good jingle-jangle vibe to it. Lyrically, it’s just a confused reflection."
Listen to the track via the accompanying video, below, directed by Cameron West, which draws inspiration from The Beatles' Yellow Submarine and depicts the band in their Kilkenny hometown.
