New out this week from Liverpool's Paris Youth Foundation is 'Late Night Lost Love' via Modern Sky UK.
Produced by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, Courteeners), frontman Kevin Potter casts a lyrical light on his well-versed and familiar path of heartbreak and romantic loss, as the five-piece swell their big sounding lustrous guitar chords and emotive, layered vocals around the three and a half minute sonic palette.
“I go deep as a songwriter; they need to mean something to me and ‘Late Night Lost Love’ is a story that will mean a lot to others, about fixation, heartbreak and resolution," Potter reveals. "It’s about the routine of pretending that you’re fine all week after a break-up, occupied by work and then weekend comes and it’s all out of the window. You can’t play it cool anymore.”
