Fuzzy, York indie-rock foursome The Receivers have gained a stellar reputation despite being around for such a short time. Their 90s indie vibes mixed with their unique vocal style is displayed to full effect on latest single, ‘Only Human’.
Recorded at Sugar House Music in St Helens, and written by lead singer Nick Aldous about wanting to be the best version of himself, ‘Only Human’ - out this Friday (August 28) - is a prime example of why The Receivers are destined for great things, as they have provided a melodic, catchy alt-rocker which screams a summer's night with friends. Add that to their ability to tell a convincing story of self-belief and finding confidence, and you have not just a brilliantly conveyed message in a time where we all need to pick-me-up, but a winner of a tune.
