The Trusted are back! Closing the year with a follow up to their summer drop 'Horizontal Mind', and EP 'Love And Suicide', the Essex indie boys describe the Rees Broomfield-produced 'Criminals' as “the most emotional song we’ve ever written."
Atmospheric and empowering, as the track progresses you really sense how this four-piece are maturing with each new work. 'Criminals' lends a melancholic edge to the beautifully pristine production and honed instrumentation, as the synths chime against Tom Cunningham's yearning vocals.
"The song is about loss, heartbreak, guilt and self-absorption," they say. "It’s a sad and honest track, but at the same, it’s kind of beautifully uplifting."
Spot on. Tune in below.
