Baby Strange, the Glasgow three-piece of brothers Connaire (drums) and Aidan (bass) McCann, and vocalist Johnny Madden, are back with their stinging punk darkness with new single ‘California Sun’, which is out on July 31 through Ignition Records. The single will be released digitally and as a limited edition 7” yellow coloured vinyl.
Filled with fuzzy, reverb guitars, driving drums, and with Madden’s dark and uncompromising vocals - "Baby when my friends are dead/I’ll be there for you" - ‘California Sun’ is a big, hooky Jesus And Mary Chain track for the new generation.
Baby Strange join Slaves at the Leadmill in Sheffield on June 24, followed by a headline show at Tynemouth Surf Café in North Shieds on July 11 (sold out), and Wickerman festival, July 25.
