Words: Richard Cobb
There’s something magical about a band that can transport you from an otherwise grim mid-week in a country run by maniacs to a carefree eastern paradise in the space of three spellbinding minutes.
It was almost two years ago that we first heard London-based three-piece OK Button with 'The Message'.
The dream pop outfit now return after an extended break with their second offering, released November 9. Delivering an equally beautiful follow up to that debut single, ‘Beds’ is a reflective synth journey which explores the dark cave of overpowering consumerism and technology.
As much as technology has basically eroded us, every once in a while you’re reminded that it’s not all doom and gloom when a track like this floats by your screen and captures you unexpectedly in a moment of pure escapism when you need it most.
A band still very much in the sunrise of their musical adventure, Amber, Nass and Adam bring OK Button to Glasgow for their first ever gig next Tuesday November 20 at the Poetry Club.
Listen in to 'Beds' below.
