Hannah Rodgers - aka Pixx - has dropped a new single, 'Andean Condor’, taken from her forthcoming second album, ‘Small Mercies’, which is released on June 7 via 4AD.
The gripping, grunge-synth-pop track comes with visuals directed by Alice Clingan.
"This song is written about the link between wo/mankind and nature. It is important to recognise how many times women have to face the absurdity of male hierarchy in our modern world," Pixx states. "Having had endless conversations with (certain) men who justify the inequality of the sexes by comparing themselves to animals, I thought what better way to help them than to remind those men that they are supposed to be human, with emotional capability and growth."
Pixx plays The Great Escape this Thursday (May 9), followed by London's Electrowerkz on June 12, and the Brighton Dome on June 26.
