Quiet as a Mouse are 'Live From The Barracks' back home in Brisbane

Words: Richard Cobb

Edinburgh’s loss is Brisbane’s gain as indie quartet Quiet as a Mouse have returned Down Under with their first new music since their 2018 debut album ‘Is It Funny When It Hurts?’

This six-song live video, recorded at Resonate Music Studio in Capalaba, Brisbane, is the first run-out for four new songs: ‘Man I Am’, ‘Comfort Food’, ‘White Picket Fence’, and ‘100% Cotton.’

It’s also a first glimpse at the band’s new line-up with singer/songwriter Alex Moran recruiting new members, Steve Powell (drums), Bicho (lead guitar, vocals) and Mark Cohen (bass, vocals).

The early signs are promising with the new songs slotting in seamlessly alongside old favourites ‘Home Is The Hardest Place To Find’ and ‘Dandelion Tea.’ With further recordings on the horizon, this is a solid introduction to the band in their new environment.
