Dancing Years Reveal Single Debut And Video

Leeds five-piece Dancing Years announce the release of their debut single, 'Here's To My Old Friends' on October 14.

The band say of the accompanying video - which you can view below - that they “wanted to capture that feeling of returning to being youthful, and carefree”. Filmed in various locations around their hometown of Leeds, it sees a group of middle-aged men, often distracted by the responsibilities of adult life, managing to come together for a classic kick-about just like they used to.

The single B-side is a beautifully crafted composition entitled 'Leaving The House', in which they dynamically balancing delicate calms with grandiose climaxes. Both tracks are produced by James Kenosha (Dry the River, Pulled Apart by Horses, Mikky Ekko) and will be released through Leeds based independent label, Hide & Seek.

The band who have previously toured with the likes of Jamie N Commons, Dry The River and Benjamin Francis Leftwich are also due to embark on a UK tour this coming Autumn, including a handful of headline dates. They have already this year played Great Escape, Dot to Dot, Wilderness and Standon Calling - as well as sold-out headline shows at The Lexington in London and Leeds' Holy Trinity Church. See below for a full list of upcoming tour dates.

Dancing Years are: David Henshaw (vocals), Joseph Lawrenson (piano), Dan Fielding (electric guitar), Dominic Butler (violin); Joe Montague (drums
