After making their entrance in late 2013 with their debut seven minute noise fuzz track 'Skeleton Girl', East London's dressmaker have continued to make for ear-grabbing attention, with the equally dark noise-drenched sonic space of their 'Glass' EP of last year.
Now they are back with a slightly lighter tinged 'Love Me', digitally released today (March 12). While still containing their trademark aggressive, yet atmospheric, wall of propulsive sound, the overall effect is more contained, more structured. And while vocalist Charles Potashner may ask, “You don’t love me/I don’t love me/ But isn’t there more than that?”, don't be fooled into thinking the noiseniks have gone in for a quaint love ballad this time around.
dressmaker play a single launch show tonight (March 12) at Lock Tavern, Camden.
