Track Of The Day :: Bears - Our Own Way

Just released by Melbourne's psych rock sextet Bears, their new single -'Our Own Way'.

It marks another gorgeously dreamy cut from the band - previously known as Hiding With Bears - who have been compared to othet psych favourites such as POND and Tame Impala.

This track, from their forthcoming debut EP, is the follow-up to 'Little Fun', and of a slightly different nature, both offer a peek into may be to come on the EP itself.

With four of the six band members - Mitch Peters (keys/guitar), Brad Dadson (drums), Ryan Vasiliades (lead guitar), Simon Yeomans (percussion) - also being part of another Melbourne psych outfit called Dozeys, there's a strong leaning to this side as well with Bears.  With Ryan Groenewald putting effortless gloss on vocals (plus Gary Onans on bass), 'Our Own Way' is way too short at just two-and-a-half minutes, as just as you start to sink into its charms - at around the two minute mark - the thing ends!

If you happen to be Melbourne way on May 27, drop in and give the Bears a hug at their single launch show at the Workers Club.
