At barely over the two minute mark, Toronto punks HSY's 'Scratch' comes in as short and perfectly formed; if it were a minute longer, then it might be another matter.
You will soon gather from its sharp scrawl that it well and truly bites the eardrums. Taken from debut album 'Bask' which is released on September 11 via Buzz Records, 'Scratch' is an angular mass of dissonance with vocalist Jude emitting caterwauling sounds over a sheer wall of noise.
