Listen :: Poliça - Wedding
Words: Ellie Ward
With their third album on the way in March, the Minneapolis synthpop band Poliça have shared the second single (after previous 'Lime Habit') which was debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show earlier this week.
'Wedding' is described by vocalist Channy Leaneagh as "about the marriage between the militarization of police in America and the drug trade. How they feed off of each other and get fat and powerful at the expense of all of us. It is a serious song, but I hope it moves you to hope all the same."
'United Crushers', out on March 4 via Mom + Pop, is Poliça's third album, following 2013's 'Shulamith' and their debut, 'Give You The Ghost'.
