HUMM - PUMMELING A MONK
West Midlands heavy rock outfit follow up their debut single 'Savannah' with more pounding riffs and Andy Teece's scorching vocals. Out now via Sound Hub Records.




CLOCK OPERA - IN MEMORY
Another offering from the esteemed London outfit's second LP set for release this summer. Singer and lyricist Guy Connelly describes the track as "one the most personal songs the band have ever written: “It’s about questioning your identity, about being judged on who you are versus what you thought you were". Catch live at London's Moth Club on March 14.




THE CULT COLLECTIVE - HERE COME THE CYNICS
First track from the recently formed three-piece, previously part of Birmingham outfit Thieves. Less 'lad rock' than in their previous guise, with chugging riffs and indie pop harmonies signifying a move to lighter realms.




LUST FOR YOUTH - DISPLAY
Dreamy, melancholic synth-pop, taken from the Copenhagen trio's album 'Compassion' out on March 18 via Sacred Bones, and featuring vocals by fellow Dane, Soho Rezanejad.




GALLERY CIRCUS - HOLLAND ON FIRE

North-East duo - 
identical twin brothers Daniel & Graeme Ross - return with new track out on Killing Moon Records. Produced by Dan Austin (Pixies, Doves), the track is taken from their forthcoming EP 'Chi-Town Dogs' out later this year. Filling three-minutes-plus, the brothers' deliver rousing guitar distortion with thumping drums in a dual ear attack.




DEPARTMENT M - AIR EXCHANGE
New single from Owen Brinley's Leeds-based electronic experimental noise pop project, taken from upcoming album ‘Deep Control’ which is released as a limited edition 12” vinyl on March 18 via independent label Hide & Seek Records.




CHAIKA - THE QUIETNESS
Somewhat epic seven-minute follow up to last year's 'The Mirror' from the Leeds garage-psych outfit, produced by Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart by Horses, Autobahn), it matches intense aggression with droning guitars and a fierce blistering bite in the vocals.




NIGHT LIGHTS - CHILDISH
LA electro four-piece (who hail from Mexico, Japan, California and Norway) take pop synths, add them to thumping bass and guitar riffs to create upbeat indie melodies. Catch live on March 14 at

DISJOY - PRESSURE
Lead track from a 'Demo' EP uploaded to Bandcamp by this Cardiff noise-punk offshoot of LUVV, featuring the latter's edgy vocalist Matt Short and bassist Ben Mainwaring delivering sharp post-punk tones.




TRAMPOLENE - TOM HARDY
Jack Jones kicks up some infectious banging noise as he longs to hit Hollywood and "be Tom Hardy" in this latest trackrecorded live at Konk studios and mixed by Cenzo Townshend (Florence & The Machine/The Maccabees), which is available as a free download.
