Watch :: Brooklyn duo Beverly share Twin Peaks-esque video for ‘South Collins’

Brooklyn duo Beverly share their Jim Larson-directed video for ‘South Collins’, a track taken from their second album ‘The Blue Swell’, released on May 6 via Kanine Records.

The Twin Peaks-esque video was shot at the Colonial Inn in Pine Hill, New York, and features Beverly's Drew Citron and Scott Rosenthal as crimson-haired traveller and younger bartender respectively, the cinematic video mixes romantic imagery with a hint of something more sinister.

"The idea behind the video is that I walk into a hotel, and the sight of me triggers the bartender's flashbacks to a nightclub singer he met decades before at the same hotel," explains Citron. "A wild and progressively sinister party ensues. Years later he is still haunted by it - what happened that night? Director Jim Larson created the perfect look of an eerie Twin Peaks or The Shining-like world, without getting too overtly into ghost stories and the supernatural.”

Beverly has added additional dates to their forthcoming UK tour, including a showcase at The Great Escape:

May
16 - Soup Kitchen, Manchester
17 - The Louisiana, Bristol
18 - The Victoria, London
19 - Tunbridge Wells Forum
20 - The Winchester, Bournemouth
21 - The Hope & Ruin, The Great Escape, Brighton
