This girl 'British Amelia' seems to have left quite an impression on New Zealander Steve Mathieson (formerly with Collapsing Cities, a band cited by NME as one of their “10 Hopes Of The Near Future”) immortalising the real or imagined young lady into his latest single under his Lunavela bedroom project name.
The dreamy three-and-a-half minute follow-up to Auckland-based Mathieson's 'Burn For You' debut of last year, is a wistful, synth-pop ode that flows on a lush bed of percussion and backing vocals from Ali Youngblood of Florida indie-pop outfit Black Kids.
Lunavela is currently working on an album, expected early next year.
