With the music world still in mourning over the death of George Michael on Christmas Day, Kristin Kontrol - aka Kristin Welchez, Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee - has released a previously recorded cover of Wham!’s 'Last Christmas', which had hitherto never been released
In a statement, she said: "So sad we lost another incredible artist this year. Rest in power, George Michael. A few years ago I recorded a cover of 'Last Christmas' as a b-side to an Xmas original. An innocent homage out of love. This was proto-KK as produced by Kurt Feldman (Ice Choir). Was never allowed to release it but fuck it."
