Track Of The Day :: Ten Tonnes - Silver Heat
Words: Ellie Ward
Ten Tonnes, aka 19-year-old Hertford singer-songwriter Ethan Barnett, shares his impressive debut single ‘Silver Heat’. The cut, released two weeks ago and which was produced by Hugo White (The Maccabees), is taken from his forthcoming 'Born To Lose' 12" vinyl EP out on June 9.
‘Silver Heat’ shows Barnett - the younger brother of George Ezra - as a confident and adept lyricist as well as singer. Sharp presentation in a surprisingly upbeat way that reminds of Jamie T, Barnett is already showing big appeal.
“It’s really just about looking back, in part about my ex-girlfriend, but more about that mood you can get into, when a flashback hits you suddenly, and you’re right back in that place,” he says of the song.
