'Human', the third single to come from Turtle's debut album of the same name, released on June 30 via Beatnik Creative, is quite a simply stunning track.
Turtle, aka Glasgow-based Jon Cooper, does it again with producing works of such depth through layers of subtle and hypnotic beats with soft vocal and melodic beauty. ‘Human’ takes you through an evocative five-minute soundscape of swelling strings and ethereal pads, enhanced by the vocal dynamic of Iranian/Swedish songstress Mariam The Believer.
“Through my music I found the way to let the light in,” says Cooper of the 'cathartic' writing and recording process which he used to confront a dark period in his life.
