Introducing :: Self Help

Words: Leah Raymond

Self Help are an emerging Oxford-based four-piece who recently released their rather curiously titled debut EP, 'Always Trashy In Fillydelphia'.

Their sound is based around an indie garage pop-punk vibe, with a quirky, wry twist - as can be heard on Little Indie's two favourite cuts, 'Won't You' and 'Gemma'.

Self Help formed in 2016 backstage at the O2 Academy Oxford when Silke and Danny first met. A shared love of punk, indie and live music led to them forming as the Din Twins with their debut gig just two weeks later. Joined by Sean on guitar and Lizzie on bass, the Self Help format as we hear tiday was formed.

Self Help are: Danny Jeffries - vocals/guitar, Sean Cousins - guitar, Lizzie Couves - bass, Silke Blansjaar - drums
