New tracks coming up from Down Under

Little Indie casts its ears and eyes over more of the latest sounds to emerge recently from Down Under.

MOBS - SAY ANYTHING

Melbourne four-piece share the 80s pop vibes lead single 'Say Anything' taken from their forthcoming 'You Want Beauty' EP, out October 27. Written about the Cameron Crowe movie of the same name but written in the perspective of the protagonist, “’Say Anything’, to me, is the most relatable song we have,” says vocalist Jordan Clarey.

TOTALLY MILD - TODAY TONIGHT

Released last week, another Melbourne quartet herald their second album 'Her' (released next February) with this first single of two and a half minutes of soaring pop, helmed by Elizabeth Mitchell's sultry vocals, before closing on a reverb-rich guitar solo.

MALLRAT - BETTER

Brisbane-based pop-rap artist follows last year's 'Uninvited' EP with this new single, a sugar-coated, blissfully melancholic commentary on the life of a 19 year old, written by Mallrat herself and co-produced by Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents bassist) and Andrew Dawson (Kanye West).

MINOR PREMIERS - OH MY MY

Also from Brisbane, the debut single from the indie alt-rockers, released last month, is a smooth vocalled laid-back stroll, of dreamy indie rock with pop overtones.

SLEEPING LESSONS - GROW

Nice builder from the Ballarat, Victoria trio on this first single -released last week - from their upcoming album 'Peony Garden'. It's a grower, and the vocals are definitely moreish.

SALAD BOYS - EXALTATIONS

From Christchurch, New Zealand, this lead single from their second album 'This Is Glue', out via Trouble In Mind Records on January 19 2018, is a rather gloriously melodic number of fuzzy guitar riffs and 90s-esque melodies.
