Pushing Daisies stream second EP 'Take Me Back To The Light'
Words: Sam Geary
Released last Friday (May 11), 'Take Me Back To The Light' is the new EP from Bristol-based emo-rock quartet Pushing Daisies.
The new 7-track record, produced by Sam Bloor, follows on from 2016's 'Stay Sad' EP, which was released through Homebird Records. Now, going it alone, they have crafted a record where the musical maturity far surpasses their age and the musicianship shines through.
"'Take Me Back To The Light' has been in the works for a long time. Over the past 2 years, we’ve all been through a lot of tough times, had our issues and grievances, members of our families have passed and we've had our own struggles with mental health. Being able to sculpt all of these into songs has been our release from negativity within ourselves," says vocalist Bert Martinez-Cowles.
