Watch :: Mitski debuts colourfully surreal visuals for new album cut 'Nobody'

Words: Sam Geary

Brooklyn's lo-fi chanteuse Mitski has debuted a new track from her forthcoming album: 'Nobody'.

With the three and a half minute number - which appears on the full-length 'Be The Cowboy', which is released on August 17 via Dead Oceans - comes a colourful, surreal music video directed by Christopher Good and filmed in Kansas City over five days.

“I’ve never been able to take this much time to shoot a video, so it was wonderful to have the space to get the details right, as well as actually hang out and have fun with everyone involved,” says Mitski. “This video made me fall unexpectedly in love with Kansas City.”

'Nobody' is the second song from Mitski, following 'Geyser' which she dropped a video for last month.

She returns to the UK this autumn for a run of dates listed below.

UK dates

19 Manchester Gorilla
20 St Luke's, Glasgow
22 Tivoli Theatre, Dublin, IE
24 Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
25 Trinity, Bristol
