Sea Girls' appeal precedes them, and as they return to the seaside of Brighton to play an almost sold out show (mainly consisting of a teen to mid-20s audience it would seem, with a few older bods scattered around) on their biggest headline tour to date, their infectious indie rock-pop and reputation for a tight live show ensure the musical charms of this band leave few immune.

As the crowd expectently awaits and the lights go low, the most noticeable thing when the four-piece emerge on stage is that frontman Henry Camamile - he of the golden baritone - has a fresh new haircut and has shorn off his familiar dark curly locks to a close crop (think Action Man or Ripley out of Alien 3).

After a quick introduction they soon provide the tunes as they jump right into the opening guitar riff of ‘Eat Me Whole’. Immediately igniting the floor and setting fans dancing, which doesn’t let up as they with the infectious ‘Heavenly War’ next up. The melodies here catch the attention as the sharp guitars cut to the quick through a incisive lyrics, and a bold chorus - “You'll end up spinning in a heavenly war / What you wanna stay for?” - just made for crowd participation.

‘Too Much Fun’ has it moments when you can see just how strong this band is together as Oli Khan’s drums seamlessly connect with bassist Andy Noswain’s heavy bass sounds, the sheer fun element in the song provides reason for the fans to jump and sing along with its grooved melodies.

Bringing out some new songs tonight
‘Where Are You’, about growing up and wanting to make changes in yourself that you might not like, connects instantly with this crowd as guitarist Rory Young plays along with some sublime guitar riffs.

Newly released single probably gets the most attention tonight and
‘All I Want To Hear You Say’ played live is a treat for the ears as the whole room becomes one big bouncing trampoline, while fan and live favourite 'Call Me Out' glows on hooky lines and an all-encompassing appeal.

Last song of the set ‘Adored’ has Henry out on the floor dancing amongst the hordes of fans and then gets up onto a seat at the side whilst singing his heart out. Returning to the stage for an encore, the punchy, guitar-driven ‘Lost’ causes a dancefloor furore at the front with its buoyancy aided by a juggernaut chorus. As the set concludes on a crescendo of sound, being ‘lost’ in this atmosphere tonight has been magical.
