Younger Hunger opine on their 'Summer Bummer' single
Words: Sam Geary
The Long Beach, California foursome Younger Hunger reveal their popgaze new single, 'Summer Bummer'.
"I wrote this song on my 22nd birthday. I was feeling shitty about myself and about the lack of accomplishments that I'd had in my 22 years, says frontman Tony Davia of the track which will also appear on their imminent debut EP, 'Yikes', out on February 28. "Songwriting and music provide me with the catharsis I need to get through life's painful moments, no matter how big or small. ‘Summer Bummer’ is just about growing up and realizing you’re just a shitty twenty-something who thinks they’re more important than they really are."
Tune in now.
