Leeds' alt-pop trio Peakes find a 'Hole In The Floor’
Words: Sam Geary
Leeds-based alt-pop trio Peakes are back with ‘Hole In The Floor’, a new track off of heir upcoming EP ‘Absent In Person’, out on April 26 via Practise Music.
Singer Molly Puckering’s vocal adds the human touch to proceedings above the airy electronics and taught groove as she sings anguished lyrics like “I walk the streets with no gravity, Everyone is out of reach”.
"It’s an observation of a person who is drifting through their surroundings,” sge says. “They are detached from the outside world and float above the people that care about them and can help them. But it’s that acceptance of knowing that the further you let yourself drift the harder you will fall in the end."
