Track Of The Day :: The Vices - Life Grows

Credit: Floris Duijn

Words: Sam Geary

Dutch garage-surf-pop three The Vices dropped their latest single, 'Life Grows', last week, and grow on you it does.

Following their debut single 'So It Goes', a UK tour, and supporting Yungblud, the Groningen trio - Floris van Luijtelaar (vocals, guitar), Mathijs Louwsma (drums, backing vocals),
Simon Bleeker (bass, backing vocals) - have quickly drawn a fanbase in their home territory with their refreshing take on rock, surf and garage to create their own sound, which has been described as like the love child of The Growlers and The Strokes.

'Life Grows' - the title track of their forthcoming EP, out September 20 - was purportedly written in a night of insecurity, in which singer Floris realised that as long as you're behind your own decisions, it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.
