Featured in our recent Best new tracks Down Under #33, Brisbane-based four-piece Waxflower now share the visuals to their guitar-driven latest single, 'Back To Back'.
The clip, directed and edited by the band’s guitarist Nick Hargans on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, shows the band performing the song while lead singer Tristan Higginson is seen in a series of interesting situations, such as lying fully clothed in a cold bath tub filled with rose petals, to encapsulate the lyrical content of the track.
“The video concept plays on the themes of all-encompassing anxiety established in the song," says Higginson. "Visual hints at drowning and being out of your depth are used throughout the clip. The video was filmed in the middle of winter, and after both underwater shots, I’ve never been as cold as I was in that pool.”
