The debut single from Australian dulcet-voiced newcomer Teleah Riordan, or teddie as she is known, touches on electronica, indie and pop, combining for a grower of a tune that finds her collaborating with alt-rap duo Craterface, and Campbell Burns, frontman for indie-rock group Vacations, all of whom co-produced as well as Craterface also opting in as guests on a chorus.
"'Call Me' is about being infatuated by someone who can't even return your call, and you continue to like them anyway," says the songstress of the assured, subtle and intriguing track, which was released this Monday. "I have endless love for Campbell and Craterface for making the song with me, it’s really special being able to make music with friends."
Still only 20, Riordan, who hails from Newcastle, New South Wales, has spent the last few years playing sax with the now-defunct jazz-psych outfit Shrimp, and for Sydney hip-hop artist Imbi, formerly Imbi The Girl.
